SNOWY SUNDAY
This morning i woke up and looked out side and it was snowing and it was even sticking to the ground! I am so done with winter and snow, it makes me angry!! Haden had to speak in Sacrament meeting today he wasn't too happy about it, but he did a really good job, i was really proud of him! Josh got called to be the teacher's secretary, so we stayed after to set him apart, i just cant believe how old they are getting, it is scaring me to death! Josh is going to be 15 in July and getting a drivers permit, and then i have to drive with him and that freaks me out, i don't know how i am going to live threw that, no wonder my parents hired someone to drive around with me, it is a scary thing! Haden will be in Jr.high and Tyler will be the only one in elementary school, I guess today it is all just kind of hitting me, and i don't like it! I am too much of a kid myself! Well i just went off on a tangent, I started this post as one of hate for the snow, so i will end it like that, I HATE THE SNOW!!........ and getting old!!!!

1st PLACE!!
I almost forgot, both Haden and Tyler won 1st place in the crazy hat and hair day for their classes. I was all proud and asked so, what did you win? We won............a Reese's Peanut butter Cup! WHAT? Well if i knew that was the prize I could have gone to the store and bought them one and saved me the trouble, Oh well i guess they have bragging rights, after all Haden won last year too, has to keep it up.Good thing he will be in Jr. high next year so i wont have that pressure to win again, there is only so much i can do with his hair!
RICE CRACKERS
Well most of you know that my new years resolution is to not eat french fries or chips anymore. I thought it wouldn't be that hard to do, when i was growing up i never really liked chips ( just the dip) and french fries i really didn't get too into either, so i thought it would be a cake walk, well it isn't! I didn't realize how much i enjoy my fries, especially curly, waffle, crinkle and of course cheese fries! Ok maybe i do like fries! I don't want to lie either Doug and I went to Mi Ranchito the other weekend and we were like what do we do about those dang chips and salsa, and we decided it was okay, boy did they taste good, but that is the only time i have given in,Doug seems to think that tortilla chips don't count, i am starting to agree. But i realized i just sometimes need a nice crunchy snack and chips used to fill that. The other day at Costco i picked up a bag of rice crackers with nuts, and i have to say they are pretty good! So for now rice crackers are my new chip. They aren't too fattening either except for the nuts, but that is the good fat right? I think between the won ton salad and the rice crackers i just might be turning Japanese!

HAPPY EASTER!
This weekend went by very fast, Saturday Haden had a soccer game at 12:30 in Orem, our annual cousin Easter Egg hunt at Jim and Melissa's house at 3:00( thanks you guys, you rock, the bounce house was such a good idea!) and we had to skip out on going to dinner with everyone afterwards cause Doug's parents and his brother David from Hawaii came over to visit. Sunday we of course had to see what the Easter bunny left and hurry to get ready for church, Tyler was singing the prelude music with the primary and had to be there early. Doug's parents came over for Easter dinner, Doug cooked rib eye steaks and chicken on the grill, It was really, really good, and i of course made the won ton salad again, ( i told you it was my new favorite). Then Scott, Kim and Megan came over to hang out for a while, it was a very nice Easter day. I think this is probably the last year that Tyler will believe in the Easter bunny, last night he came and told me that some kids in his class think that the Easter bunny, Santa clause and the tooth Fairy are all your parents. I said what do you think? and he said, I think the are real. Then in the morning when checking out his stuff he said how did the Easter bunny get the same eggs we had for the hunt? I just smiled, and i think he figured it out. Kind of sad, but at the same time i don't want him to be the weird kid who believes in the Easter bunny and Santa Clause in 6Th grade and everyone making fun of him.

CRAZY HAT AND HAIR DAY!
Today is crazy hat and hair day at school for Haden and Tyler. Haden wanted a Mohawk, but i couldn't get it to stay up, so he said how about a Afro, well that is pretty hard to do considering he has the thinnest and straightest hair ever. So i took the blow dryer and a bunch of spiker glue and started scrunching, and this is what it did, so he said hey, i look like kickin'It Old School ( A very dumb, but really funny Jamie Kennedy movie about the 80's) or Hot Rod, So he was happy. I think it looks scary! I am having flash backs of high school! Tyler is just wearing that thing that Dad gave him for Christmas one year and we stuck a bunch of crayons in it. He wanted to know what he looked like so i had to make up something real quick, So he is the Crayola monster. All of this was done this morning in under 20 minutes!

WON TON SALAD
A couple of weeks ago Audrey had Bunko at her house and she made this awesome salad, I loved it, so I got the recipe and finally got a chance to make it for dinner last night, it was sooo good! It is my new favorite. The kids werent too happy with me, Josh refused to eat it and Haden and Tyler would only eat it if they put Ranch dressing on it, ( after I had already put the dressing it calls for on it) they are so weird! That is the reason we are in a food rutt because they just wont eat anything else! GRRR Well, here's the recipe if anyone wants it, Thanks Audrey
p.s. be careful when frying the won tons, I made the smoke alarm go off!
Won Ton Salad
1/2 head red leaf lettuce
1/2 head green leaf lettuce
1 bunch green onions, diced
1/2 C. slivered almonds
1/2 C. sesame seeds
2 chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
20 won ton wrappers, cut in half then cut into small squares
Dressing
1/2 C. sugar
1/2 C. rice vinegar
1/2 C. vegetable oil
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
Fry won tons in hot oil, 3-4 seconds each side. Combine lettuces, onions, almonds, sesame seeds, and chicken. Combine dressing and mix well. Just before serving toss salad with dressing and fried won tons.

INVISIBELT
Okay i found this belt on the Internet and i think it is such a good idea, it makes me really mad i didn't think of it! I have always had problems with my pants having a trash can ( that is what my brothers used to call it, you sit down and there is a big gaping hole where they would put garbage in) Well this belt helps me keep my pants up and my rear covered while sitting without all the bulk of my big ole' belt buckle! Love it!
Josh's Glasses
Well we got Josh's glasses, it is a good thing we got both contacts and glasses, cause he is kind of lazy in the mornings to put the contacts in, so he can just grab his glasses and go. We are still waiting for the right left contact, the one they ordered for him made his vision even worse! So Friday we should hopefully get the right prescription.

MY EYEBROW WAX STORY
OK, so i thought i would save some money this week by getting my eyebrows waxed by a student at that Mandalyn Academy in American fork. Melissa went with me and she has been there before so i didn't really think too much about it, i mean, how hard can it be? Well first off my girl came to get me and i took one look at her eyebrows and wanted to run the other direction, but of course i didn't. The whole process took a half an hour! I think that is quite long don't you? Anyways while she was doing it, there was some discomfort but not much, then she took some toner to "close" up the pores and it was like putting acid on my eyebrows!! I was like whatever just get me out of here. so i paid and we left. Melissa and i went to lunch afterwards and the whole time my eyebrows were on fire! When i got home i looked in the mirror and noticed a blister on one of my eyelids and of course both eyelids were bright red (which would explain why the waiter kept looking at me weird). That night i had to put one of those lovely eye icepack thingys(see pic above). I woke up the next day with the puffiest eyelids i have ever seen! So anyways lesson learned, Don't try to save a few bucks when it comes to anything on your face!! Today they are just lovely scabs that are peeling, it is just a good thing that i wear make-up!! Why did i tip that girl? I always seem to have bad luck when it comes to stuff like that. Oh well live and learn!

HAWAII
We have decided to take the kids to Hawaii over spring break!! I am so excited and cant wait to get to good weather! My only hope is that it is better weather for us this time, last time Doug and I went it was during their big flooding that they had, what terrible timing, It was my first time there and i was so cold i had to buy sweatshirts and long sleeves, sooo not what i was picturing Hawaii to be like, well it isn't normally like that, so i am told, so we shall see! We leave April 11Th (Doug's birthday) and come back the 18Th! woo hoo i cant wait!

Josh gets contacts!!
Well as most of you know, Josh had an eye injury when he was around 8 years old and now he has a irregular left pupil and some vision loss. He was supposed to wear glasses to help with his vision and to protect it from further damage. Well that lasted only so long and we kind of let things go. I decided i better take him in to get it checked since we haven't been since we moved back from St. George. His eyes have gotten worse in both eyes, so the doctor gave him a choice of glasses or contacts, he chose contacts. So they sent him home in some last night! I cant believe he can do that, i cant even touch my own eyeball! He seems to be doing good. I did go ahead and order him glasses too, so he should be fully protected. Now maybe his grades will improve??? One can only hope!!
Look Out Blogger World!!
Hello, I am new to this whole Blogging thing, but I thought I would give it a shot. I figured if Nancy and Ashley could do it, so can I. Not even sure that my life is so exciting that anyone would want to read this, but I figured with my memory the way it is, I better start writing some stuff down! I am terrible at keeping any kind of journal, so i thought that maybe this will help me out.
